So been watching my PH runs a high of 8.33 and a low of 8.08 when light start to come back on. I run the fuge light during the night to help offset this. However I will be ready for corals as soon as the GHA issue is resolved. Wanted to see if this is going to cause me limitations on my coral selection?

Bringing this back from the dead.
My tank is bare bottom 150 gal. currently FOWLR but I want to start to add some coral next month.
Winter outside and pH is swinging from 8.8 when the refugium is lighted (Kessil H380) to 7.9 during the day.

Is this swing excessive if I have corals? pH was pretty constant during the summer when the windows were open.
The Magnesium level is about 1300 so I am assuming the this is due to CO2 buildup in the water when the fuge is not lit.

8.8 doesn’t seem correct. How are you testing?

The pH probe was dirty. Now clean and re-calibrated. The previous 7.9 is now reading 8.2. Will kick on the fuge light and see how much of a change I get.
