What are you checking pH with?My aquarium pH is 8.6... how can I lower it? Some corals are lookig bad, thanks
thanks for answering. I use a labcon ph test, as I don't have any others I don't know if it's right. What are you checking pH with?
If its a meter is it possible its not calibrated?
Please post all other known parameters from most recent test.
Can pH that high really affect corals to make them start looking bad?
According to my Apex, I hit 8.6 every few days and my stuff is growing just fine.
Thx!Can pH that high really affect corals to make them start looking bad?

Thx!If you aren’t dosing anything that has a really high pH then your pH is likely not really that high.
Alright, thx!Lets see your parameters!!

Maybe try increasing your temperature a little bit. I always try to be in the 25-26 degree Celsius rangeAlright, thx!
parameters:
Calcium: 360
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5
Dkh: 9
Temperature: 24ºc
Salinity: 1,024
Phosphate: 0.5
Ph: 8.6
unfortunately I'm out of magnesium and ammonia, I'll replace it this week
Is your phosphate really .5?Alright, thx!

What kind of animals do you have in
Thanks for the answer, I use api test on phosphate, I'm not 100% sure because I don't have comparative tests. i will probably do that, and thanks for the tip, how many degrees do you recommend the temperature? Is your phosphate really .5?
And your tank it’s a little cold in my opinion
Thx Man!I agree that pH is never too high in any ordinary reef tank not using high pH alk additives.
IMO, even if accurate, pH 8.6 is not high enough to warrant special action. I generally recommend pH 7.8 to 8.55, and the main issue at the high end and a bit higher is accelerated precipitation if calcium carbonate.
Thanks for the tip, i will do that.MayThab try increasing your temperature a little bit. I always try to be in the 25-26 degree Celsius range

77-78 is a good starting point. Thanks for the answer, I use api test on phosphate, I'm not 100% sure because I don't have comparative tests. i will probably do that, and thanks for the tip, how many degrees do you recommend the temperature?
