Hey all, my tank is currently running at 8.6 pH with an alkalinity of around 9 dKH. Is the pH gonna be a problem for the fish, hermits, snails and starfish that are currently in there? I don't have any corals as of now but was planning on putting some in in the coming months. My alkalinity seems perfectly fine but as I am new to this someone with more experience than me would be a great help

What are you measuring your pH with and what are your morning and evening values (morning - before light on - evening just at max illumination (if you ramp) or just before switch off (on/off systems) ?

Sincerely Lasse

I am measuring pH with a red sea test kit. I don't turn my lights on yet because the tank is still relatively new and just finished cycling within the last few weeks so i'm trying to avoid a huge algae bloom
