Ph too high?

How high is too high for ph? I’ve always had ph on the higher side even in my last home. I had a tank in my basement (current home) average was 8.4 with 8.6 peak. That tank is now gone but I have one upstairs In my office. I’ve had the windows open the past few days and my peak is 8.74 and low 8.4. Alk is 7.6dkh. I was just wondering when I should start to worry? The tank is relatively new so I’m dosing 5ml a day of 2 part. I dose in the evening and am switching to mornings because it shot my ph to 8.8 tonight. I will probably spread the dose out as well. I also recalibrated my ph probe last week to rule that out.

I would heavily suspect that you have a bad pH probe. These numbers seem excessive.

Seems like a measurement error.

Have you tried re-calibrating the ph probe?

Recalibrated probe last week. I would say I am overdue for a new probe. But I think I will also look into another testing method just to compare

Calibrate probe. Also what is your alk reading ?

Egg. It uses a different calculation method.
