ph

Spcoley. the PH will increase as you get more disolved oxygen in the water.

what are the rest of your test results? Specifically Alkalinity, Calcium and Salinity?

IMO, a mistake many reefkeepers make is that they chase their PH to get it to a level they think is good. in doing this, they get other things out of balance. in the summers and winters when your house is all closed up keeping cool or warm, ther eis more co2 in the air. this can lower your PH.

This is very true. My ph is 7.8-8.1 due to a co2 issue. All of my other numbers, including alk, are normal, so I'm just leaving it alone. But yours might be a bit too low. I'll be interested to see what your numbers are.

If all your other parameters are okay you can raise ph with a good buffer, but do it slowly. You can also direct your powerhead where it will ripple the water on top of water column.

Be careful with chasing ph. I kept adding ph buffer everyday and couldn't figure out why it kept dropping. BECAUSE All buffers do is raise it temporarily while secretly raising your alkalinity. As suggested above increase surface agitation to allow more oxygen and that will fix problem.

Tested my water, everything looks fine but ph is 7.4 What can I do to increase it? Partial water change?

Pickupman66 is correct! You can purchase a small portable fan and have it blow air across your sump. Also, keep your window in your house open to allow some CO2 to eacape. What is your alkalinity level?
