I need to raise my Ph.
What is the best way to do this?
A simple water change, or chemicals. I have read both...

What value are you seeing, do you have a target?
Are you measuring using a probe or a test kit?
What time of day do you test if not using a probe?

Well, lower ph is often caused by excess c02 if your alk is in normal range. Try adding a way to add some oxygen to your tank, wether its a bubbler stone, skimmer, pointing powerheads to the top of your water. Using a c02 scrubbing media reactor. Or simply just keeping a window or 2 constantly open in your home. For me, i have an airline to outside from my skimmer and all my powerheads facing the water surface. This does a great job keeping my ph up.

Really? I have never heard of that, thanks! I will give it a try!

Just opening the windows in my home will raise my pH measurably. For this reason I look forward to spring and fall. [emoji3]

Surface agitation aides in gas exchange in addition.

I think as long as the PH is above 7.8 before the light turns on, and under 8.4 after the light turns off should be perfect. If your Ph is in that range, I suggest you should not chase after Ph.
