-12g nano with about 10 gal water volume
-Alk 12.1 dkh
-Cal 444ppm
-Ph hovers around 7.8
-Nitrate 0ppm
-Phosphate .25

Tank has zoas, pulsating xenia, 1 clownfish,1 emerald crab, 1 tube anemone. 1 candy cane and 1 acro arriving this week.

Tank is in my bedroom which must be bathed in CO2. I ran a line from outside to my skimmer and saw no affects. I placed an air pump outside and ran it with an air stone in my tank and pH sits reliably at 8.0. Who the heck wants an air stone in their tank splashing salt all over?
I would buy a cow scrubber with my skimmer, but afraid it wouldn't do anything because the fresh air didn't.

Idk, it's frustrating...

Sounds like your gonna have to leave your windows open and throw a pair of long johns on with an extra blanket, lol.

12dKH with a 7.8ph = 1900ppm air CO2 if tank is perfectly aerated.

You'd experience health issues with extended exposure to these levels of CO2.

Pulling outdoor air should raise it to 8.3ish....assuming perfect aeration.

I would do a cup aeration test to help identify your pH issue.

It's either tank needs more aeration (flow) or meter is off...or maybe both.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
