Im looking at the Pharos 90 watt leds from Anovay. They look great! 3 and 5 watt cree leds and a controller that controls more than one module wirelessly. Has anyone had any experience with Pharos lights? I see a lot of people talking about eshine leds. Also, Maxspect which have been around for years. Coralvue had Pharos for a while and then dropped them to start carrying Maxspect. I can't find anywhere why Coralvue stopped with Pharos. The specs look great on these lights. Any info would be appreciated.

Hey Jayl65 I know basically everything there is to know about pharos LED's, Im not trying to sell any to you but if you do need any info feel free to visit my website at www.prestigereefs.com Im their exclusive authorized dealer/distributor. I have lots of info on my site that can show you about anything you need to know, if not feel free to email me and Ill answer anything you need to know, I have the color spectrum and par readings available of both the fixture and white cree and blue cree chips. I have been in the reef led industry for a long time and test about every fixture out there, I will honestly say that it will run with the AI and Radions depending on the prefrences you are looking for. The controller is simple to use yet very in depth and fun. Like the Radions they use 5 volt cree whites and 3 volt cree blues, they have 4 different color chips in them to cover a impressive spectrum. Par is really in your hands cause they can use 45, 60, and 80 degree optics. I currently am running 1 pharos module with 60 degree optics at 14 inches above the aquarium over a 36" 40 gallon tank and the growth has been amazing. If there is anything I can help you with please let me know!! Thanks a bunch, Randall [email protected]

i contacted jeremy at coralvue and asked why they stopped carrying them. this was his reply:

They are still on back pages of the website at this time for our wholesalers but not accessible from the navigation on our site and can only gain access through links and search engines. The problem was the increase in cost and marketability. So we had to hold off sales till they come up with something else. IMO their quality does not compare to the Maxspect LEDs.

They look great to me. I wonder if Coralvue can't get them at a deep enough discount and thats why they are discontinuing them. I realize they must make a decent mark up if they are to be able to rep a product. I am still interested in them. I do like the maxspect mazzarra leds but I really like the pharos ones better. I wish more people had seen them and had opinions of them. I will keep searching and maybe even take the plunge and test them for myself. Thanks everyone.
