I am not contemplating buying these, but would like a bit of info on them. There dosn't seem to be much info out there on the web or at least I can't find much. My LFS has started selling these lights and I wanted to do a bit research on them.

Not for nothing but have you asked your Local Store about them? they may be your best source of info, maybe bias, but info none the less.

I have a few in my house. They are great for general lighting, but I don't think I'd use them for an aquarium (unless FO).

The Pharox LED bulb produces a warm glow equivalent to that of a 40Watt incandescent bulb, but uses only 5Watts of energy. The Pharox bulb is compatible with standard fittings and has a stylish design that looks more like a traditional incandescent bulb, yet is 90 percent more energy efficient and lasts 50 times longer. t8 led tube
