Philip Root

A few of you/us who have been in the hobby for more than a couple of years will remember Philip Root from FishTails in Rainbow City. Here's a Mr. Saltwater Tank video from MACNA. At about 3:50 he does an interview with him on some new products he's selling. He has come a long way since Rainbow City. I think he is an example of what can be achieved through dedication and work. Take a look:

I never knew what happened to him! Thanks for sharing this H@rry! He had a great store down there and is a really great guy. Glad to see he is doing well!

Nice to see a movie made in my home town of Des Moines.

Glad to see Phillip is still with it.

FWIW I don't think he owned fish tails but johnny did and stayed there until th end. Phillip went to aquarium designs where NARC had a meeting later.

I think both are not out of business.

Last time I contacted Phillip he was on the industry forum at reefs.org.
