Hello, new member here. It's been about 11 years since I've been in the reefing hobby, but glad to say I'm doing it all over again. This time I will be building a Cobalt C-Vue 26 gallon mixed reef tank.

First, my old 75g mixed reef tank. Tore it down about 11 years ago...

The only thing I've really done is create the aquascape and mount the AI Prime HD. I'm using about 15lbs of CaribSea Life Rock Shapes, and I have my AI Prime set to the BRS AB+ profile.

I'm still in the process of researching and purchasing all of the other necessary equipment needed to get started.

EQUIPMENT LIST:
Lighting: AI Prime HD. Going to try and get away with using one.
Rock: CaribSea Life Rock Shapes.
Sand: Thinking about using CaribSea Fiji Pink live sand.
Heater: Cobalt NeoTherm 100w.
ATO: Originally purchased the Tunze Osmolator Nano, but will be returning it for the XP Aqua Duetto.
Filtration: Purigen. Chemipure Blue. Rubble rock in the back chamber. Stock filter socks. No skimmer.
Flow: Thinking about using one Jebao SOW-4 wavemaker.

Thanks. Soon I hope. I need to install a GFCI outlet first, as the outlet is directly behind the tank. I also want to reinforce the counter it's sitting on. I'm not sure it's necessary but it would definitely make me feel better. This is the granite counter it's sitting on...

Not much progress has been made, but here's a quick little update.

Almost done supporting the counter/cabinet the tank will be sitting on.

Installed a GFCI outlet and bought a baby safety outlet cover to act as a splash guard. The tank will be inches away from the electrical outlet, so I needed to protect the outlet as much as possible.

I recieved just about all of my equipment.

The Cvue is just about ready to get wet. I've finished supporting the cabinet/stand.

I've created a drain system that will dump water from any major leaks down into a bucket(and below the stand if needed).

I have also cut a square out of the tanks back wallpaper, just in case I decide to run a refugium light in the future.

Rock is in and the cycle has officially started.

After 36 days, the cycle is officially complete. I've also finished the DIY mesh top, added an Innovative Marine CheatoMax light with Fresh Cheato from Algae Barn, added Marine Pure bio balls, added Purigen, and added in Chemipure Blue.

I’m running the cycle right now and can’t wait to add a pair of mocha gladiator clowns!

Are you planning on adding a skimmer? I have a Tunze I am going to add once the load grows a bit
