My question is I have a three chamber sump. The first chamber is where the water returns to the sump. The second chamber is the fuge. The third is where my pum send the water back to the tank. Should I put the pump for the phosban reactor in the same chamber it pumps back into or should I spread it out to multiple chambers? Thanks

I pick up reactor water from my first chamber and drop it into my last chamber. I am sure it doesn't matter too much unless you are running biopellets but this way it isn't running water through it that it has just processed.

I keep mine totally within the first chamber with skimmer and heaters, this keeps the water level stable and won't pump the water out when return pump is turned off during feedings/maintenance.

Cheers, Todd

I find it works best to have it in the return pump section so it gets the cleanest possible water, otherwise you end up disassembling it and cleaning the sponges more often.
