Phosban+carbon in phosban 150 reactor?

Hey all. I was wondering if its ok if I can add both in my little fishies phosban reactor? Usually I have only used one product in the reactor.

Any tips? Like should I mix them together? Obviously more carbon then phosban right?

They require different flow rates. If you put the 2 together the Gfo won't tumble correctly and will ruin. Run 2 reactors would be my recommendation.

I tried carbon on the bottom and gfo on the top separated by a foam disk. It didn't work. It just pushed the whole mass to the top. If you mix them, the gfo tumbling will probably break up the carbon. I would get two reactors or put the carbon in a mesh bag.

Seachem sea gel has both matrix carbon and phosgard I run that in mine

my friend uses exactly this product for both and seem to work great. the flow can be tricky to satisfy both but is manageable.

So does purigen act as a carbon? Meaning do you have to run carbon along with purigen?

Or can I run Gfo and then just add a bag of purigen? I'm just unclear on if carbon needs to be run also besides those two?
