I just set up a 2 little fishies phosban reactor 150 with rowa phos media. As soon as I hooked it up my rbta shriveled up. It's been about an hour and it is still shriveled, is this normal or is something going on?

What size reef system, how much media and what kind of flow? Too much media or too much flow is well known to cause issues.

Is this the first time you've run a GFO reactor? You should start low and work your way up in terms of the amount of GFO you use. It is possible to shock your system by removing too much PO4 too fast.

Jeez I didn't know that o_O and yes this the first time using a reactor.

OK probaly 45-50 total gallons in the system taking into account a 1/2-2/3 full sump and some live rock. That means start with about 20-25 grams of media and work up to maybe 50 grams maxium over a 2-3 month period as you exhaust the media and replace it. 10 grams is about one level teaspoonfull so 2-3 spoons at most in the beginning. A Phosban 150 holds 150 grams full dose (enough for 150 gallons of system water) so you want to be about 1/6-1/8 full at most in the beginnng and never more than 1/3 full once the system is acclimated to the media.
