Hi everyone! For those who use phosbond or any other kind of "gfo" I would like to know if there is a way to maintain a steady phosphate reading. It is much more easy to control and stabilize any parameter when we dose liquid solutions! But how to do that when we are talking about granules!?

The only liquids to remove phosphate i know of is lanthanum chloride and iron citrate solutions. Glenn f uses an iron citrate solution to lower phosphates.

Thanks Cory! But I would like to know from people who use phosbond, for example, how they maintain their phosphates. I am asking this, because these products get exhausted and have to be changed! So you have bouncing numbers! I don't know if I made myself clear!

Most people change it out as they detect a rise in phosphate as opposed to a continual drop. Usually a week or every 3 days if phosphate is really high. Others use a phosban reactor and test the po4 coming out of it. If its 0 its still good. If its the same.as tank water its bad and needs changing.
