Hi all, last night I used phosguard and accidentally put it directly into my tank instead of in a filter bag. I tried to remove the balls but I was disturbing the sand and now most of them are buried.

Can anyone give me some advice, the temperature has jumped up 2 degrees Celsius but I might struggle to remove them all.
Thanks.

I do not think the action of phosguard absorbing P04 would cause your tank temp to rise.
Phosguard is Aluminum based. Seachem claims it will not leech Al into your system if left in your system (last line of this reply).
I have not used it in years so others might be better sources of info.

Its inert so you should be able to leave it in there indefinitely and the worst that will happen is that it will leech back out the small amount of phos it absorbed. It isn't responsible for the temp change in your tank.
