Soooooo, I am thinking of getting a phosphate Reactor this weekend. I am still somewhat new but I can already see the fight with this stuff and figure its my best bet in fighting with algae long term, not to mention keeping a better quality water. Anyone have any feedback on one they would like to share?

They are good, but i dont have any suggestions. If your hoping it will work better than just gfo in a high flow area, i doubt it. Add more.

The design of the aquaMaxx Omega looks promising. I can tell you don't waste your time with the two little fishes model.

I just set up a 2LF Phosban 150 this week with Carbon and GFO (2:1) on my 150T and it's already made a significant impact on the measured nitrate and phosphate in my tank. I'd like to hear why you think it's not worthwhile? Do you have a very large tank?

How big is your tank @CarrieB

@Darbna , FYI, THE TLF reactors are complete garbage. I use a Vertex with a Sicce 1.5 pump Here is a pic of my set up! It's NOT going to stay there it will be installed in the back of my tank, which will sit next to my Avast Kalk Reactor so you will not be able to see them.

If you're interested in a Dual Bulk Reef Supply reactor I HAVE one for sale with brand new shells that you add your media in and i WILL toss in a MJ-1200 pump.. If anyone else is interested, PM ME.. FREE SHIPPING AS WELL

I used a BRS on a 40 gal with great success.
If you are trying to remove phosphate then how about a fuge? BSR has a two part series on how well they remove phosphate. I also have a biopellet on a tank, but its too early to tell if it is doing its job, as I don't have fish, so I don't have food, so I don't have phosphates.

I ended up getting a Deep Water. It was at LFS and is easy to change out. Thanks though.
