Phosphat-e advice

I have a 26 gallon tank. Need to remove phosphates. Can i add phosphat-e directly to my display tank or should i be adding it to the cannister filter?

Do you happen to have a yellow tang? They can be sensitive to this.
Do you have a protein skimmer for removing Phosphat-E afterward?

If I use it I add it into the neck of the skimmer. Works great that way.

No protein skimmer at the moment and no yellow tangs. Whats the best way to get right of it ?

Many also drip it into a filter sock. You have a filter sock?

Can you run a GFO in your canister, maybe in a bag?
If so, Rowaphos works great and comes with a bag.
Careful not to starve corals if you have any...

Go slow! The risks of higher phosphate is way, way less than dropping it too fast, or too low.

I know from painful experience.
