Hey guys,

I currently going through a battle with high phosphate levels (1.0).
I already started using Phosguard in a mesh bag but I was told at my LFS that isn’t enough considering my situation.
He suggested me the BRS GFO..
I have a few questions:

  1. From the pictures on BRS site, it seems to big to fit in one of the chambers on back of the tank (Fluval M90). Has anyone with a similar tank layout installed any GFO reactors?
My back chambers are pretty narrow..

  1. I know Granular Ferric Oxide is probably the best media to put in a GFO reactor, but can I use Phosguard instead since I already bought a big bottle of it…?

Sure. Just get it in an area with good flow going through it.
I use Seachem Seagel. Which has Phosgaurd in it. I have also used just straight Phosgaurd. I have found it works great for my tank. I follow directions on the bottle. Test every 3-4 days and see how much it is pulling out. It worked quick for me. Good Luck![emoji106]
