I need some help learning how to remove Phosphate from my tank. It's not very high but its been at 0.25 for a while and its helping a cyno outbreak. I use an Ro-Di unit now tds in the filtered water. I'm in the process of changing the lighting schedule around. I'm cutting back on feedings I just need to figure out how to decrease the phosphate. I don't have the money to buy a reactor or anything I do 25% WC every week, the tank is 29g :frusty:

Take a powerhead and blow it in ur rock work a lot of little stuff shoild fly up. Try to spyhon out all of that stuff with a large water change.
That shouod help remove some of it.
Also frozen food tends to carry phos so try going to a flake or pellet if possible.

All of this is jmo

Thank you I will do that plan on doing a 10g wc this sunday normally only do 5g but I need it gone.
