I just tested my phosphate level for kind of the first time. Hanna ULR phosphorus gave me a reading of 10ppb, which translates to 0.031ppm phosphate - is that ok? Truly ignorant here! Is there a good article to understand phosphate levels in the tank?

about .05ppm is just about optimal to most, and up to .1 is acceptable.

I used to do the math conversion from ppb to ppm, but found the below cheat sheet

that's perfect, don't let it bottom out and I try to not exceed 0.10 ppm in my own tank, but never want to be at true zero.

If everything looks great in your tank, don't go chasing numbers. I have seen great looking tanks that have 1-3 ppb PO4 and great looking tanks that are closer to 80 ppb. Stability seems to be the key.
