hello everyone. I have been following R2R on Facebook and I have been learning a lot. In saying that I am fairly new to the hobby. My tank has been running since the end of March but was cycled for 6 months before that. My lfs used to do free water testing and would just say ya it looks good but now has stopped, so I bought a Red Sea kit. My phosphate level is at .04 - .03 ppm I was wondering if that is ok and if not what are some ways to help lower it.

Thanks

Welcome to R2R,
You are kind of on the higher side but still good. Po4's .01 to .03 is a good place to run your phosphates. I have had mine as high as .16ppm;) brought them down with GFO in the sump flow. Do not go crazy chasing numbers, if you are in the range suggested and you system looks good you are doing very well.
