Long story short 0 phosphate using Hanna ulr checker. Nitrate 3 have been heavily feeding to try and increase same. No luck and sps are starting to suffer.

Dealing with crysophytes. Scrubbing and heavier feeding resulted in cyano out competing the crysophytes. I'm also starting to see some green algae start to form primarily on the sand bed.

I live in Canada so finding bulk chemicals is difficult. I have got my hands on refine by underwater creations. Looking around for readily available phosphate I'm coming up with seachem flourish phosphorus.

I've read that dosing Nitrate with 0 phosphate will do more harm that good. Is this true? Should I get the phosphate supplement first and increase phosphate first?

What is the max I want to increase Nitrate or phosphate per day?

10 months, imo this is not new tank syndrome and this is not my first tank.

Crysophytes are out competing everything else and have done so before a diverse group of algae took hold. Started all dry rock.

Primarily sps starving but select hammers are also having issues.

m having the same problem. I’m dosing amino acid, phytho and feeding corals. I’m running the skimmer only during the day and still struggling I will be adding more fish next month

?

Does that mean nitrate is 3 ppm?

Correct. Was 0 for the longest time, cycle took forever. Was stuck in the 2000s when I thought 0/0 was good. Since increasing feeding (over a month now) Nitrate has been increased and sits around 3. I've done no water changes and left socks in place in an attempt to increase nutrients naturally. Still can't get phosphate reading.

Dosed 2.4 ml (to get me to 0.03) of flourish phosphorus as per directions last night at 11pm. Tested today 11am no phosphate. Redosed 2.4 ml. How long till I should retest?
