should i turn off my protein skimmer when using this pad?It's filling up more than usual.I also did a 30% water change.Phosphates are going down finally.
 
No need to turn off your skimmer! :) Glad it's working for you!

Once you have your levels where you want them to be, it is time to address the issue so it won't just rise again! :) I would not use products like this as a permanent solution.

I have new fish and was over feeding.I feed my puffer clams and some weren't vacuumed.I have been doing daily vacuuming so the sand is clean. I have argonite coral sand and someone said that might bump it up but i don't know about that.Everything has been at 0 on the test except phoshates.I did the water change last night and it's only been 11 hours and my algae is clearing up alot.
 
Great but remember you don’t want 0 readings in nitrate and phosphate. Going to 0 is called bottoming out keep them up off 0 just a little bit
