Hello All,

I have been having a phosphate problem. Months of water change did not help. GFO did not help. I used lanthanum chloride which finally seemed to help. My phosphates went from .99 to .03 in a week. I stopped using the lanthanum chloride and one week later my phosphates are back up to .44 . After speaking to a professional we have come to the conclusion that it’s possible one of my rocks is leaking phosphates. Does anyone have any experience with this or would be able to point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Like mentioned above just keep doing what you’re doing just don’t overdo it by getting in a hurry for instant results.
steady progress is the key. You will bring down the phosphates but the rock will release more it just takes time and patience

Your professional is spot on..phosphates bind to rock and sand…that why water changes will only get out phosphates in the water column…i Have had success with LC,phos E

Agree just keep doing what you been doing...maybe a bit slower though. Last thing you want to do is overdo it too fast or to zero...which may or may not help with algae problem but most certainly can hurt the coral that you indicate is doing well
