I have a chaeto refugium in 1st compartment of JBJ Nano. Still have minor Hair Algae problem. Has anybody used the Reactor from Sapphire Aquatics.
Nanotuners.com
I am considering using that instead of having chaeto.
Thanks.

Throw a bag of rowaphos in the mix, maybe in chamber 3 right before your return pump. I wouldn't want to remove the refugium from your system.

What kind of water are you using?

How high are your PO4s?

IMO a small fuge like that can help manitain low PO4 levels, but not efficiently drive them down... maybe just implement some extra water changes to bring PO4 back in line and stick with the fuge (assuming your make-up water is PO4 free!), if not the PO4 reactor is the way to go, just make sure not to drive the PO4 level down too fast.

R.O. water.
Nothing in tank to raise PO4. Algae Blennie, 2 Emerald crabs, & Blue Leg Hermit crabs. The Hair Algae is almost under control. Been using Algae-Fix plus above.
Of course I have had the Chaeto out during the meantime.

+1 in keeping the refugium, I would also add a bag of PO remover.

I use chemi pure elite which has a phos remover with it....would it be necessary to add additional phos removal bag or should that be enough?? I have a small hair issue too.
