Phosphate removal

Phosphate is at .25. I want to get it to 0 to avoid any nuisance algae. I have 38g no sump. Really don't have room for a reactor. I have a sock of phosphate remover media from aquitech (they said it was "their brand") hanging in my dt. When I first hung it, the next day phosphates tested at 0. Now, back to .25.

Should I worry about .25? Just have a couple of clowns for now and some turbo's. Want to expand eventually though. Tank is 4 months old.
Any other tips for removing this little bit of phosphate? Will my tests fluctuate do to leakage from my sand/rocks? And will that eventually go away with time and water changes provided I am not over feeding?

The GFO exhausts quickly when its that high, in order to keep them that low you need keep an eye on the numbers, when you see them creep back up you need to change your GFO out.
.25 in a tank, its bad only if your keeping corals, if its just fish theres no reason to worry.
