I have been dosing nitrate and phosphates for a few weeks now. I decided to keep them at 7ppm and .07 ppm. They have been very stable but I tested today and my nitrates were 7.3ppm and my phosphates are .14ppm. Any idea what would cause this? I guess I could have overdosed but I normally am spot on. I am just confused and wondering if something else could have caused it. Second, could this cause any issues? Should I just let it fall naturally?

Thanks

These differences could just be normal variation in the method. In other words, these changes seem to be too small to mean anything.

Just updating. I haven’t dosed nitrates or phos since I created this post. Been feeding a small amount of frozen food, probably half a cube. My phos are now .25 which is concerning to me. Nitrates are 7.3. I also have a ATS running now which has been going for maybe 3 weeks but that is the only change recently. Should I do a few water changes? Seems something is putting phos out now
