phosphates 1.0 nitrates 5ppm

so as stated my phosphates are sitting at 1 and my nitrates are at 5ppm, ammonia and nitrites are both 0, salinity is 33.6, temp 78, mag is 1390,Calcium is 400-500, alk is 9.4, and ph is 7.8.. just got 2 brand new trachy and am seeing some minor recession...can anyone guess what's happening here I'm at a loss, feeding is redhead ab+ with music and reefroids twice a week on different days, dosing nopox, tank is a 90gal lps/softies with an eshopps r3 sump refugium with macro algae...

Po4 at 1ppm, use lanthanum chloride, diluted, dripped over 8 hours.
Stop the reefroids, they are mostly phosphate.

Chemipure elite contains gfo.
Gfo is used for maintaining low, < 0.2 ppm po4.
At 1ppm alot is bound to rock and substrate. It will take a lot of gfo to remove 1 ppm po4.
Lanthanum chloride is the best remover in this case.
Once po4 below 0.2 ppm, run gfo in a reactor.

The risk is the lanthanum phosphate flocculant, which is 5 to 10 microns particulate size. Certain tangs are at risk due to particles clogging their gills. The story goes: after dosing lanthanum, my fish swam into the cloud didn't make it out the other side. This indicates using the product incorrectly, as there should be no cloud unless you are doing it wrong.
I use brightwell aquatics phosphate e, diluted 50:1, dripped into the overflow over 8 hours. The lanthanum reacts with the phosphate on contact, so i trap the overflow water with a 5 micron sock. Also run a skimmer.
There is no cloud, or any perceived cloudiness.
Others do not go to these measures, but it is easy for me to do every 3 months or so, when the po4 rises above 0.4ppm.
Lanthanum removes phosphate, that is all it does.
Gfo removes phosphate and some other things. If may leach iron into water, which may be good or bad. In your case gfo should be run in a reactor.
