My algae scrubber is finally mature and growing nice turf, problem is my phosphates are now at zero. What would I change in order to raise my phosphates? Less time with lights on? Or reduce flow thru the scrubber?

Tanks for the help.

Great question. I would be interested to know this also.

Also, are you sure your phosphates are at 0? How can you tell, are corals not looking good? Perhaps your test kit is just not reading low enough.

more info about your tank need esp stocking levels of corals and fish and how much you feed.

The water is never at absolute zero po4. The reason is po4 is being slowly released from sand/rock/food, poop. So basically your tanks got a continous supply at .002 ppm po4 fpr example and i wouldnt increase po4 unless you see problems with corals.

If nitrate is not too high, I'd light it less hours.

If nitrate is too high (or gets too high), dose phosphate (assuming you are not already using something like GFO or another binder).
