I use Red Sea NoPox [6ml per day split in morning and night manual dosing] and have zero phosphates but high nitrate reading --- any ideas how to lower my NO3? I use both Red Sea nitrate test kit and a Salifert Nitrate test.

Nitrate Tests have consistently been measured between 100ppm and 50ppm since December 2016. I do bi-weekly testing. And weekly 10gallon water changes. I have a 75 gallon mixed reef dt with a 30 gallon sump. I've assumed 90 gallons of total water volume.

The last two months I've noticed an explosion of sponges and feather worms.

I have mostly softies/LPS that are fine.

I've started adding ZeroBak 3 drops, twice a week. I also use CoralSnow once a week.

water changes and cleaning. stop the snow for a bit maybe, it making the sponges, dusters super happy but not a problem. Look for a place of low flow and see if your getting a build up of detritus(nitrate factory).

But also if its fine, its fine.
