Hello all,
I have a 140gallon tank,
my PO4 seem to hover around <0.1ppm regardless of dosage it seems, I am currently dosing 10ml/24hours, previously I was dosing 5ml/24 hours.

Please note I am using SeaKlear Commercial strength Pool product which is SUPER concentrated.

Am I missing something somewhere?
Lightly stocked, ATS/Skimmer present as well.

Are you dosing it into a sock or something to capture the stuff?

Might that mean 0?

What kit?

When did you start dosing and how old is your system. Rocks and sand absorbs phosphate and if it is an old system there could be a lot of them bound to the rocks. These will leach back into the system when the PO4 level on the water is lower than what's on the rock.

Hanna ULR 0.09ppm today, 0.08ppm two days ago.

Those values seem fine to me. Assuming it is accurate, you are likely just offsetting the food additions.

I have noticed that since I added some tangs and an large angel that having to feed sheets of nori my Po4 is much higher than before the nori feeding started.
I wonder how much is expelled by fish eating nori. Anyone know how much Po4 used by fish and how much is expelled?

No just into the sump, DOS breaks it up into like 0.1ml

So im guessing it is effective that way. You should see some particulate matter in the bottom of your sump or on the sand bed. Leaving it should not be an issue as once bonded it is a bond for life as I understand it
