Phosphates level.

Hi all,

My tank is 4 months old and my phosphates on Hanna tester are 0.052, is this level to high and with it being a new system will the phosphates decrease or increase over time? I am running ALR1 reactor and a tunze 9001 skimmer also change 25% water every 7-8 days.

0.052 ppm is fine (assuming you have the ULR phosphate checker). It is hard to say whether they will go up or down since every tank is different. I prefer my phosphates between 0.05 and 0.1 (0.03 being ok but I don't like bordering 0 since that caused me a heck of a dino problem.
