Well I see my phosphates jumped from .09 to over .2 in three days. I was feeding some reef roids once then for two days that new red sea AB plus i think it is. It's probably normal though for a 40 gal when feeding because of the small tank? I haven't fed since and will test again when 3 or 4 days pass.

In my personal experience, Reef Roids are the phosphate devil. They spiked mine too real bad. Maybe if you run GFO then you can get away with using Roids. I don’t use GFO, just chemi pure blue in a reactor and I have a refugium. But I do use the new Red Sea coral nutrition once a day(mixed reef dose) and I haven’t noticed it affect my phosphates. I may start using reef Roids occasionally again tho but only if my phosphate gets really low

Funny thing is i have a little caulerpa in my DT not too mention my urchin is growing it on his back...lol. I am now running some phosguard too. Yeah doesn't matter how little you use of reef roids it's just spikes the phosphates.
