So, I'm looking into filter lenses for my phone. There seems to be a ton for sale. I did a diy orange lens. I don't like the outcome. But it has led me to 100 more questions. The search is on.

These were all taken under my dawn/dusk setting. I am sure it wont be any different when day light ramps up. I'll find out.

So, How am I ever going to trust a vendor?
When it will be "WYSIWYG (with a lens)"
I have mainly bought corals in 10k light. A couple of new ones though... Made me sad.
I'll update once I figure out what lenses I want to get.
Orphek is high on the list.

Following as also considering getting something

@vetteguy53081 said recently when he got Orphek then tossed his others. Respect his opinions so strongly leaning that way also.

I've seen examples of software that filters, but haven't followed up on that path though like the idea it is always on the phone itself but my reality is most of pics are of/in my own tank so filters can easily live right here at my home.

LOVE @Mibu creativity of pill bottle! Most of us have had prescription at one time or another but perhaps the slight curvature is causing slight fuzz to outcome photo - but @Mibu photo still its better than any photo I've taken lately so time to raid my cabinet and see if I have a leftover pill bottle. Will give me something better while I ponder options until I finally buy something - THANKS!

The curve did create a fuzz. I was testing it out to see how much affect the "orange" had. And it was... Deceiving.
Sadly, with computer programs, I am used to photoshop. Those filters will really touch up a photo. Again, to what is not there. You get the picture perfect coral with such amazing coloring. Once in your aquarium. You ask yourself... "What did I buy? Will it get the color back?" This subject is very old.

Also, I wanted to be able to also capture proper pictures without that blue wash. So, did some exploring around.

I love an honest vendor and not one just selling a photo. But, too many are just selling a picture.

I just bought a little pack that snap on my phone. A local home-seller bought them in boxes and sold them for like $10 but I found these on Amazon and they’re literally the exact same thing- Zerodis Fish Tank Photography Lens, Smartphone Camera Lens Filter Accessories with Macro for Coral Reef Aquarium Tank Photography

I've got the polylab 3 pack clip on.
the filters work well.
the problem I have is the clip is made for a phone, not for the inclusion of the protection "box" (otterbox) many put their phone in to. the lens frame sometimes shows in the taken picture.

an easier diy then the script bottle (props to that) is orange cellophane available at any crafts/hobby shop.

seller pictures... check out Tidal Gardens sell pics. they post separate pics of the piece under blues and under whites.

I had been considering getting some cheap filters for my phone but in the mean time I am using a camera app on my phone that let's me adjust white balance. With the white balance all the way up I am able to get pictures that are really close to what I see. It's not perfect but it's really good for being free.

I do look at tidal. I haven't found any other vendor who takes the time to post 3 to 5 photos of corals under different lights. Everything I want from tidal is always sold out. :/

Also, Than has given a lot of helpful advice for coral care.

the stuff I get from cherry is pretty close to their pics and in my tank.

If you ever watch any of their YouTube live sales, they actually play a video of each corals as the spectrum shifts from mostly white to mostly blue. It is impressive the effort they put into making sure their corals are accurately displayed.
