Photo - Return placement suggestions.

We have a bench next to the side panel that will be close up viewing.. Looking for the least intrusive with this in mind while maintaining good flow.

I haven’t decided where a power head will be, and the overflow can’t go in the middle under the euro brace.

I could flip the overflow next to that corner but it does stick out more than anticipated because of the bulkhead — I always thought overflow laid flat on glass. Seems like a pain to clean

Is that a Modular Marine overflow? The bulkhead will push the overflow out about a quarter inch or so. From what I have seen from other manufacturers this can't be avoided unless the overflow was built into the tank to start.

If it was my tank I would place the return in the opposite corner and rely on it for mostly filtration turnover. Let the powerheads/wavemakers take care of your flow needs.

We ended up cutting it that way! Currently in the painting process (slightly regretting not vinyl for ease of removal).

And it is a modular marine, it looks like a solid overflow but I don’t have a lot to compare it to. Feels heavy duty. I was able to push the bulk head in on the pvc more, I was afraid it was glued there at first.
