Been needing a new light bad and the deal on this was too good to pass up. The mounting legs it came with are too long for a 24" tank, so I made a little modification. All I did was cut 3 inches off of each leg on the part that slides into the light.

This is only a temporary solution until decided how I want to hang it or try something else. I need to raise it up a little more to 8" to 10" above the water line to get proper spread?

But atleast it's on there and I can start using it!

I've seen a ton of threads on how people mounted to used to hang them but if anyone has some cool unique ways or knows a custom mount, please share!!

Do the lenses come out? I selectively pulled mine on both tanks. One one they were 70 and 40 degree lenses. I pulled all the 40 out. The bare led will be 160 or so.
Yes you will lose some intensity. But I used a lux meter and at ten inches is had 140,000 lux on a ai sol. It dropped to 80000 lux. (About 1000 par). :D

Here's my SBreeflight config.

It's at 36000 lux at 75% 14in above my tank.500 600 par ish.

Yes I believe mine have optics on them. The seller wasn't sure which they were but I'm guess the standard 90° optics. How deep is your tank?I want good spread but to also penetrate to the bottom easily

The thing about light. If it's bright it penetrates unite well. In my cube in the pic I left alternating w b ww to make sure.
One of mine is 20 deep at 16 above the tank. I used a light meter to test our put
The other tank is 24 deep w 40 degree and still have a lot of power left.
