They are not, however they include a hand held remote with touch buttons and an LCD screen that communicates with your light using wifi.

Just bought the Photon V2 48, I have a 75 gallon tank. How high above the water should i set it and what should lights be? I have zoas and a couple leathers. I was running t5s.

First of all, thank you for choosing ReefBreeders to Power Your Tank! To answer your question, 6-10" off of the water is a good height for your 75 gallon tank. We recommend starting with the default program, which has a 30% peak, and adding 10% or so every week to acclimate your corals to the light.

It could be too much light, zoas and other soft corals will retract the block out lighting that is too intense.

For softies/lps, take the light length and add ~12” on both sides. For sps, Add ~8”

I'm trying to plan out a ~350g (96x36x24-30) LPS/softie build for this fall and lighting is one of my problem areas right now. I've currently got a Radion XR30 G4 Pro over my 60g cube and really like it, but I'd need probably 6 of those to cover the larger tank. So now I'm look for alternatives that at a minimum have a ramp up (sunrise/sunset) and preferably can be controlled via the Apex. I believe the V2+ check that first box at least.

Thanks, I've added five 24-V2+ to my spreadsheet. I think if I hung them with the length running front to back, that should cover the tank pretty good. Do you think I might be able to get by with just four of them mounted that way? Going with four and selling my G4 Pro would drastically drop my lighting costs.

I would get 2x 48s

Agreed. Keep in mind 4 x 48s is equivalent to 8 x 24s, so you are getting tons of light. We recommend one light for every 18-24" of tank width front to back. Coverage extends 6" from each end (ie, 24" photon plus 6x2= 36" tank) for SPS/LPS, 12" for soft corals and LPS. 8" max to avoid shadowing.

So you both think that the T5 hybrid fixture would be better then 5 of the 24-V2+ going front to back in a 36" tank?

I just looked at the Aquatic Life DX18 dimmable T5 hybrid mounting fixture. It seems pretty cool as it would allow the T5s to ramp up as well. But I'm not sure if any of the RB LEDs would fit in it?
