Photon v2+ on a 40 gal breeder

Hi all
I'm looking at buying a photon v2+ 24" for my 40 gal (soon to be) mix reef tank and had a few questions for you experts.
is the 24" big enough for a mix tank. tank is 36" long 18" wide and 13" deep.
I know you should make your own schedule but does anybody have a good starter schedule that would work good on my tank.
and it being so close to the 4th of July does anybody know if Reef Breeders is going to be having a "4th of July sales" going on.

RBs used to be the goto cheap chinese but good black box

Last time I checked they are named brand priced.
