so I just bought the 2x 32 photon v2+ for a tank upgrade. it arrived Thursday and did the tank upgrade to a 125 Friday night. got done with everything around 4am, at 5am I woke up and the tank lights were on, I toggled them off and on and they stayed off, an hour later same thing only one side was on and set to a spectrum I did not program. I shut the light off and got some sleep. around 8 or 9 am I turned them on and they worked find. a few hours later they had changed to a spectrum not programed. if I toggled the lights on and off they went back to normal. so far they have done this several times during the day.

before setting up this light I had a single 32 inch v2+ since the begining of the year and never had a problem.

has anyone seen anything like this. a tank swap puts a lot of stress on the corals to begin with and now I have to deal with the lights turning on in the middle of the night and then spectrum randomly changing on me.

Are you using 2 remotes by chance?

If the other is in the room, make sure its not on the correct id to change things and use 1 remote to program the lights. Also are you sure your saving the settings correctly? I have not seen or heard of the issue you are having before

ok so the lights did not turn on in the middle of the night. at least I didn't notice if they did and they were off when I woke up. 9am they came on but about 15 mins ago I noticed they were looking more like 10k spectrum so I took the remote and powered them off then back on and they were back to my setting (around 14 or 15k spectrum) then at 11am I looked at the tank and it was back to the 10k spectrum. again I power cycled the lights and it was back to my settings.

Hi,

This can happen with multiple lights, however it's pretty easy to get them back in sync.

All you have to do once you finish programming and ensure the night time hours are zeroed out is:

1) Press menu, go to custom and scroll all the way to the hours.

2) Scroll through all 24 hours multiple times (you can do this quickly, you're not looking at the numbers just cycling every hour multiple times).

3) Press OK

4) Reset the clock by pressing and holding the up/down arrow keys at the same time simultaneously. If the time is already correct, change it by 1 hour then change it back before pressing OK.

This has done the trick many times, including in some our stores with banks of 8+ LED lights on the same controller. Every now and then they just have to overwrite the default program. Once you follow these steps it's not likely you will need to repeat them, as the program is saved internally and the above steps overwrite the default internal program.

thanks. what worked for me was programming both controllers exactly the same. I eventually want the single 32 inch to be on a reverse light cycle on the frag tank in the basement directly below the main display.

I also sent you guys an email but you can disregard that now

thank you very much
