Just received my lights today but seems like i got a used controller? Scratches everywhere and some deep scratches too. Anyways it works, but for the money I should have received a new one. Also one of the mounting arms keeps moving even though its tighten up. Anyways to fix this issue? Also one of the screw is stuck on the metal arm and wont twist back out no matter how much I twist. It tightens but wont come off so I might have to try and dremel it off but I would have to dremel it off close to the back of the light so I can slide it out of the lights. Anyways just wondering if any of you photon v2 owners has experienced these problems and what did you do. I'd really like to fix the moving mounting arm. Thanks.

Yep, screen protector is on it to prevent scratches on the actual plastic. And you can use a pair of needlenose pliers to loosen that screw, the plastic head likes to spin since they are not made to go super tight. use a pair of needle nose to grab the metal part and loosen it. It should come right out.
There was a screen protector on it, but the deep scratches still made it on to the screen. I'm not worried about the controller because it still works. I'm just trying to fix the moving arm. There are 3 holes where i could try to tighten it up and none works so maybe I got a bad arm. I did end up taking out the screw with some vice grips and pulling so ill just probably end up hanging it. I would have preferred the arm. The lights work great though. Thanks.

Glad you got it taken care of. The arms are nice, I use them myself, but these lights are so powerful I am going to hang it soon. Mine is on the highest setting on the arms and at about 45% intensity and I'm still at about 35,000 lux at the water surface

Hi,
All of our remotes come with a protective film, it can be tough to see and often causes confusion. The V2+ are brand new- as of yet we don't have any used controllers.
We will be adding a small tab prompting users to remove the film before using the remote.
