I have a 100 gallon 60×18×24. My budget is $900. Should i get a single 50' light or is there some other setup i could do

Go and find therman's threads. Perhaps the best corals grown under LED that I haver ever seen. I use MH. but if somebody made me use LEDs, it would be Photo V2.

The 50 inch over the 60 is fine. Not any different than a 12 inch panel over a 24 inch tank . Nearly all LEDs leave room on the ends.

Alright thanks

My exact thoughts.. I got halides I switched from radions and if I go back to leds it’s gonna be breeders..

I am also considering switching LEDs from Radions to Breeders.
However, for my 24" cube filled with Acros would the Photon 24 V2 Pro be enough to pull the PAR?

I would def. install the BOT Mount V2. But Imo with this mount the photon isnot mounted enough high to reach max. coverage, right?

I see these mounts are even adjustable in height - WOW!

I've got the RB V2 Pro 48 on my 90g mounted 16-18 inches (can't recall which) above the water using their adjustable brackets that attach to the back of the tank. I didn't care for the adjustable ones that come with the light that attach to the sides. SPS dominate with a lot of acros. All are doing well and growing.

I also have a Apogee par meter and I can tell you that at 90% on both blues and violet, 15% on whites and 5% on reds and greens I'm seeing high 300's to mid/high 400's at the top of my rocks and 180-250 on the sand with everything running (power heads and return pump).

The app is easy to deal with and so far the light has been spectacular. I believe @Battlecorals uses Reef Breeders LEDS also and has incredible results.

If it were me i would bump your budget just a hair and get 2 of the 24” photons and run them front to back 1 foot in from each end.

Whats the difference than just 1 50'
I think he meant run the lights front to back instead of side to side.. he confused the 24” height with the 18” wide I believe.. it wouldn’t work. What you have planned is perfect.
