I have the Aquaticlife G12 HID fixture that has 3 150w HID bulbs, 4 39w 420/460 actinic T5's and then 6 LED moonlights. I'm curious to see what everybody would suggests as a photoperiod with this fixture. There is a built in timer for each set of different lights. Obviously I like the blue fluorescence of the T5 so I will probably do at least 2 hours with those only. I would just like to know what you guys would do if you had this fixture on a mixed reef.

Is this light replacement another fixture? If so, I would suggest starting at a shorter photoperiod. I would say about 4-6 hours for t5's, and 2-4 hours for the MH. Over the course of several weeks, I would increase the time to 6-8 hours for the T5's and 4-6 hours for the metal halides.

I would do something like this:

T5's: On: 9:00 A.M. Off: 5:00 P.M.
MH's: On: 10:30 A.M. Off: 3:30 P.M.
LED's: On: 5:00 PM Off: 9:00 A.M.

I hope this helps.

It's not a replacement. It's current. I was just curious what others would. What you suggested is about what I'm doing. Thanks!
