What is your photoperiod on your tank? I love staring at my tank and would have the lights on all the time if I could, but I'm worried that my current photoperiod is too much. I have a 6 bulb Tek light T-5 fixture with a lighting cycle like so: 4 bulbs on 10 am to 10 pm, 2 additional bulbs on 2 to 6 pm. I'm too lazy to walk downstairs and look at what bulbs are on exactly (actinic + or blue + or whatever else), if that is important I might persuade myself to get up :p So, what are your photoperiods?

I have my lights come on for only 8-10 hours total, normaly if I had the option, which I do but like you it sounds I am a bit lazy LOL
my lights come on at about 2-10or12 at night.

If I had it my way whcih means not being lazy and hooking up one more timer LOL
my actinics would come on for 12 hrs and the halides would be on for 10 in between the 12 of the actinics.

I have my 03 actinics come on at 10am till 9:30pm and my halides come on at 1pm ( I think) and turn off at 8:30pm. During the summer I will run the halides a littel longer and in the winter I shorten it a bit......All lights are run on timers so I don't have to mess with it....

WOW! How deep is your tank? Much to my dismay I just changed my photoperiod to:

4 T-5s on 12-9
6 T-5s on 2-6

I will see if my zoas color up and grow better with less light, maybe the shallowness of my 40 breeder was causing them to bake.
