Phyto help

Hey, this is my first attempt at doing phyto. If anyone out there has experience can you tell me if this dark spots on the bottom mean that those are dead and this is crashed? This batch has definitely gotten darker over the week which makes me think it’s working. But there is some settling going on. Thank you

I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking at, I think thats the side and bottom? Are the little spots growing on the side of the container, or is it free floating? And the bottom looks grown over?

There should not be so many spots like that to be honest. Sometimes maybe a very tiny bit of gunk at the bottom, but nothing like that. I culture mine in 2 litre pop bottles, and the sides are clear when I harvest, nothing growing on the sides, nothing at the bottom. Sorry for giving bad news.

Yea it’s the bottom and the sides, it does look like something is growing on the sides not sure what. How do you tell usually if it crashes? I read that it would smell bad but I’m not having any of that.

For me, when it crashes it turns yellow. Yours looks like the right color of green to me.

How long have you had it going? 5-7 days is usually enough.

Is the stuff free floating? If there is free floating stuff in it, then I would toss it. If its only growing on the side, then maybe syphon the phyto out into another container.
