Phyto ID and culture expert advice needed!

I'm culturing Nannochloropsis,(on left), and Tetraselmus,(on right). Both sets of cxs are at five days since last split and the tetra is always lighter in color, as was the starter sample. Microscopic videos of the nanno is showing movement which appears to be contamination with tetra. Can I continue this as a mixed culture or does it not work to grow multiple species of phyto together?

Nanno should always outcompete anything else in my experience. Unless there is some contamination with predators it should be fine.

Edit: this was my mixed culture until it crashed due to a herbivore contamination.
