Picked up Derasa clams and bag of "live phyto". Bag says Phyto/C, Live isochrysis and cheatoceros in sterilized, labortory-grade sea water. The bag is kinda brown, not the green I'm used to seeing. Anyway, Im curious if cleaning my class of brown/green algea with a scrapper is good clam food? They are filter feeders but is the phyto and glass algea equal? I have a wrasse that takes advantage of snails when possible....so think Im down to 2 large snails that don't make a dent in the glass like 6 of them used too.

two clams. one 2", one 3 inch. I read that the larger clams don't require direct feeding. They are in a 90 gallon with 6 fish, stocked with LPS.

I notice my like it I got 5

Iso has a golden tinge to it. I tried to culture it once but it kept going bad on me. But clams don’t need to be fed phyto anyway.

If they’re under 3 inches they should be fed bigger than 3 inches they can photosensitize

I doubt if it will do much for clam as it catches suspended phyto. Guess it would not hurt but not its typical food source
