How do I know all when all the fertilizer is used up in the Phyto culture so I can put some in my display tank? How much do I put in my display tank?

How do I know all when all the fertilizer is used up in the Phyto culture so I can put some in my display tank? How much do I put in my display tank?

What is the fertilizer, nitrate and phosphate?

I take a cup out of my culture and feed my display tank every other day. I have never worried about any remaining fertilizer. I am using F2 to feed my cultures, about 5ml per 2.5 gallons weekly.
