Phyto vs phyto

I've been using a popular brand for a while and love it no problems, but lately there are some inconsistencies going on! I just picked up a half gallon at my lfs, it looks great and dark im not sure there's much of a difference from batch to batch as long as it goes in the tank right.

Anyone have any phyto preferences?

No phyto is created equal. Some is more concentrated than others. Different strains.
I prefer reef nutrition phyto.

They had reef nutrition phyto at my lfs and they said thats what they prefer and I could tell, maybe I will look into reef nutrition, any good buying options.

I think it was more expensive but if there's a difference and its truly better why not spend a little more. Thanks for your input

I order mine through saltwateraquarium.com they offer free shipping after a certain amount (can’t remember the amount) vs directly through reef nutrition which does not offer free shipping at all.

they offer several types of phyto. I usually go with this one

The last batch of Algae Barn phyto I got looked like green tea. I switched to Reef Nutrition.

Ok so on my system I dose 30ml (+) when ever I remember
I always dose at night. I turn my tank water green. It clears by morning.

start with smaller amounts and work your way up.
Reef nutrition is my fav

I try to dose 3-4 times a week

I use sustainable aquatics and man that stuff is so dark it’s almost black.

Not with $25 shipping on 32oz, equals $55. I buy many refridgerated RN products at my LFS though and amazon for all flake food.

phyto can go bad mid shipping in the summer months, i order many different types and they never all come in looking exactly the same.
