As the title states, is it safe to use after the best by date? It's been refrigerated and sealed since I bought it.

My current open bottle is running low, so when I went to the store the other day I picked up a couple more (usually buy two at a time). In my haste I didn't look at the dates and the shop doesn't do returns on perishable products. Best by date is 4/11.

Thanks for posting here. Sorry to hear that your LFS sold you almost expired product. Can you please message us the name of the store so that we can speak with them about it?

If it doesn't smell like rotten eggs, then the algae will be fine. Just make sure to keep it refrigerated at all times. We've had people use our product well past expiration with no issue, especially our phytoplankton blend. We are very conservative with expiration.

In the future, feel free to reach out directly when this sort of thing occurs. Our technical support team, myself included, can field these questions. [email protected]

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Best,
Chad
